1. The meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm. A quorum was noted. Officers and Guest were introduced.
2. October 13 Minutes were received and it was MSP to accept them amended to include that Chris Winhard had made a protest to the Arden Series with respect to Low Orbiter’s application. It was MSP that the event and paperwork were in compliance with class rules
HANDICAPPING
3. New Business: Review of High Point Events:
PHRF San Diego Championships- Discussion on the problems that occurred and how to solve them for future events. Trophies for 1st place will be passed out at the Annual PHRF Dinner in January. Hazel Greene presented the SWYC side of the discussion and requested the following support from PHRF.
1. Eligibility lists prior to races
2. Each member of PHRF should be required to work committee boat at least once every 3 years.
It was agreed that we would set up a sub-committee upgrade the PHRF San Diego Championship Regatta. Committee consists of Buzz, Ken, Jack and Dennis who will report at the January meeting.
It was agreed that PHRF San Diego would set up a committee of qualified members who would act to hear protests for future PHRF regattas. Tom Seitz agreed to chair this committee.
