1. The Meeting was called to order at 7:05p.m
2. The minutes of
the January 10, 2000 meeting were distributed and approved.
Handicapping
Old Business
1. Class
1 Review: Committee Chair Ernie Pennell submitted ratings as decided by fleet
members. Several boats not considered
for change. Question and discussion as
to whether proper notice had been sent for Second Reading. Motion to consider that proper notification
was given to Class 1 owners for Second Reading. MSP
Al P. proposed +3 adjustment to CM1200.
After discussion, no second.
Motion to approve numbers as submitted (see list) MSP
(additional discussion on fairness to Classes 2 & 3).
Ratings voted on are area Buoy Ratings
only. Area RLC and OWC ratings are to
be considered within the next 60 days.
2. Beneteau 405, Novia del Mar: Reviewed Race Results Data Sheet, and heard presentation by Mr. Busch for no change to present area adjustment of -6/-6. Second reading for adjustment -6/ -6. No changes. MSP
3. Climax:
No notice or data submitted on
proposed keel modification. Tabled.
New Business
1. Other issues from Al P.: Changes to super-boats given for our review.
2. Add Steve Rock (Big Boat Advisor) to web site.
3. Secretary to forward recommendations to SoCal.

7. Data Systems: Certificate problems Cabrillo 1. Will be taken care of. Fleet membership as of February 7: 195 local, with 144 of those also renewing SoCal membership.

1. PHRF Championship Regatta scheduled for second week of August. Start planning now. Suggestion of John Gladstone as regatta chairman. Appointment to be confirmed next month.

Al Poindexter to be recommended as Vice-President of SoCal.
